Awel Mai Hughes

Awel has been a solicitor with Agri Advisor since 2016 and became Partner in 2019. She has experience in dealing with succession planning including Wills, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. She also advises on the preparation and registration of lasting powers of attorney, the registration of existing enduring powers of attorney and the duties of attorneys including the removal of attorneys. The formation of lifetime trusts, their taxation and registration is also an area that Awel is pleased to assist her clients with.

Awel has extensive experience in administering taxable estates and the preparation of Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR) applications together with Inheritance Tax applications in complex and high-net worth estates. In addition, she has specialist knowledge in mental health and Court of Protection matters. Awel is a fluent Welsh speaker.
